Kiosk mode for every Picsha storefront

Picsha storefronts were built for the customer's own phone. As of today they also run on the kiosk in your store.

Open any Picsha storefront with ?kiosk=1 on a touchscreen PC and it becomes an in-store photo kiosk: full screen, locked down, and ready for the walk-in customer holding a memory card. It's the same storefront, the same brand, the same lab workflow — with the four things a kiosk needs on top:

  • Card readers and USB sticks. Customers insert their card and tap Browse my photos; their pictures appear in a big touch picker. Staff grant the card reader once at setup, and customers never see a file dialog.
  • A keyboard on the screen. Names, emails, and phone numbers get a touch keyboard with the @ and .com keys where they belong. Keyboardless counters are fine.
  • Resets between customers. Walk away and the kiosk warns, then clears itself back to the start. Browser autofill is off, so nobody is offered the previous customer's email.
  • Your existing hardware. If you run a Photogize kiosk today, the same PC, touchscreen, and card readers work as-is — Microsoft Edge in kiosk mode replaces the old shell. We provide the lockdown policies and a setup guide.

It's live now on Picsha Prints, Picsha Retouch, Picsha Books, and Picsha Cards.

Two more pieces are coming: SendThePix support, so a customer can send photos from their phone and type a six-letter code at the counter — the hand-off Photogize retailers have used for years, rebuilt — and a one-screen store menu so a single kiosk can offer every Picsha product you carry.

Want it on your counter? Get in touch and we'll walk through the setup with you.
