Picsha Books now prints for stores that don't

Since IPIC, every Picsha Books order has ended the same way: a print-ready PDF lands in the retailer's admin, and their lab prints and binds it. That is still the default, and it always will be. But not every store that wants to sell photo books has a book press, a binder, or the volume to justify one. As of today, those stores can sell them anyway.
Lab printing is an optional fulfillment path for a Picsha Books store. Switch it on and the finished book goes to a professional photo-book lab instead of your download queue. The lab prints it, binds it, and ships it in a plain box, white-label, either straight to your customer or to your counter for pickup. Your customer never sees anything but your storefront and your brand.
What changes for the retailer:
- Nothing about the storefront. Same address, same AI-designed book, same checkout. Customers can't tell the difference.
- A catalog built from the lab's sizes. Seven trims from 5×5 to 11×8.5, hardcover and softcover, matte covers, gloss pages, full bleed. You choose which to offer and set your own prices. Your admin shows the lab's cost beside each size, so you always know your margin. Hardcover production starts around $12 at 20 pages, before shipping and tax.
- No invoice, ever. The lab's charge for each order, printing, shipping, and tax, is deducted from that order's payout. The rest lands in your Stripe account exactly as before.
- Pickup still works. A pickup order ships to your store, and you hand it over across the counter.
- Ship to home, too. Offer shipping rates and the book goes straight to the customer's door. Tracking goes out under your store's name. The lab ships anywhere in the US and Canada.
- A window to change your mind. Orders hold at the lab for about three hours before going on press. Cancel inside that window and nothing is charged.
Everything shows up on the Orders page you already use: a lab badge on each order, its status at the lab, tracking numbers, and the lab cost and whether it has been deducted. If the lab needs something, an address, a price above cost, a size mapped to the wrong trim, the order says so in plain words with a button to fix it.
Lab printing is off by default and is switched on per store by Graphx. If you'd like it, get in touch and we'll turn it on and walk you through mapping your sizes. It takes about fifteen minutes. Stores that print their own books need do nothing at all.
