Picsha orders now drop straight into Photogize Lab

Plenty of the stores we talk to already run their production through Photogize Lab. Until now, a Picsha order reached that workflow by hand: download the files from the admin page, then bring them into Lab. Now it arrives by itself.
Connect your Photogize account on a Picsha admin page and paid orders land in your Lab's harvest queue, alongside your kiosk and web orders, as Submitted orders with the customer, the delivery choice, and the totals filled in. Your customer still pays you through Stripe, under your brand. Nothing changes for them.
It works in all five storefronts: Picsha Prints, Picsha Retouch, Picsha Posters, Picsha Cards, and Picsha Books.
Connecting takes a few minutes
- On the admin page, open the Photogize Lab card.
- Enter the Photogize account your Lab polls, and its password, and click Connect. Picsha checks them with Photogize and stores the password encrypted.
- Picsha matches your sizes to your Lab products by their dimensions. For any size it could not match, pick a Lab product yourself. A size without one is hidden from your storefront, so a customer can never order something your Lab cannot make.
If you would rather sell at your Lab's prices, Copy prices from Lab brings them over. And if your Lab has more than one pickup location, customers choose theirs at checkout.
What Lab receives
Each storefront sends its work the way Lab expects it:
- Prints. Each photo is a job, cropped to the size the customer chose, sent the moment the order is paid.
- Retouch and Posters. Each print is a job, sent once the full-resolution file has rendered, with mounting and framing in the job notes.
- Cards. Each printed side is a job at the exact card size, named Front of Card and Back of Card (or Inside of Card for a folded card), with copies equal to the pack.
- Books. The front cover and every page are jobs at the exact page size, named Cover, Page 1, Page 2, and so on, all on the one Lab product you chose for that book size.
Orders that are only a digital download are not sent; there is nothing to print.
Keeping an eye on it
An order at Lab shows its Lab order number and Lab's status on your Picsha Orders card. Refresh re-reads it, and Cancel at Lab stops the harvest if a customer changes their mind. If a send is waiting or has failed, the order says why and offers Retry. The files stay downloadable on the order either way, so the old route is always there.
One note for Books: a store that Graphx has switched to lab printing, where our lab partner prints and ships the book for you, does not use Photogize Lab. A store uses one or the other.
